Kaelin Munkelwitz is the owner of All Things Pups® and the head dog trainer of the San Diego region.
After years of studying to become a veterinarian, Kaelin quickly realized after getting experience in the field that the career path she thought to be her destiny was ridden by politics, greed and malpractice. Devastated and heartbroken, Kaelin went back to what has always made her happiest at heart, rescuing dogs.
As Kaelin got heavily involved in Southern California dog rescues, working with fosters and constantly offering training advice to volunteers and adopters she realized that she had a special set of skills that allowed her to bridge the gap of communication between dogs and their owners.
A combination of both Kaelin’s years of training experience back in Minnesota and her innate understanding of canine behavior led Kaelin to her new passion of helping as many dogs around the world through owner education of her training philosophies.
Years later, Kaelin is now the trusted trainer for many celebrities, social media influencers, and phenoms on Forbes "30 under 30" list due to her extensive experience and uncanny ability to read and shape dogs' behavior. Kaelin is a member of the ADPT and an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and she has built a reputation within the rescue community as a "miracle worker" with aggressive and reactive dogs; so much so, that she is considered the 'go-to' trainer for aggressive dogs on the verge of euthanasia among rescues she affiliates with.

San Diego Dog Trainer: Shannen Standiford
Shannen has always had a deep love for dogs; she’s been in love with them ever since she was a little girl, when she formed a special bond with her first dog, Nickie. Nickie was a light in her life and inspired her to continue learning more and more about dogs. Nickie inspired her to get more educated about dogs and understand everything related to these animals that we let into our homes and our hearts, which sparked a passion that has carried Shannen into this profession.
Seeking her path in the dog field, Shannen decided to pursue a career as both a veterinary assistant and a dog groomer. Although she enjoyed both lines of work, after spending more than 3 years as a groomer and receiving a certification as a veterinary assistant, she knew another path was calling her name.
After meeting Kaelin and learning about canine behavior, she knew that dog training was the field where she was meant to work and contribute to. Apprenticing and learning from Kaelin and her training methods before joining All Things Pups has allowed Shannen to successfully fulfill her passion and help dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds across San Diego County become the best dogs they can be!
With over 5 years of experience working in the animal industry and a background in veterinary technology, dog grooming, and dog training, Shannen is a valued member of the All Things Pups® family and loves nothing more than sharing all that she’s learned with her clients, and helping them to improve the bond with their furry best friends.
