Shannen has always had a deep love for dogs; she’s been in love with them ever since she was a little girl, when she formed a special bond with her first dog, Nickie. Nickie was a light in her life and inspired her to continue learning more and more about dogs. Nickie inspired her to get more educated about dogs and understand everything related to these animals that we let into our homes and our hearts, which sparked a passion that has carried Shannen into this profession.

Seeking her path in the dog field, Shannen decided to pursue a career as both a veterinary assistant and a dog groomer. Although she enjoyed both lines of work, after spending more than 3 years as a groomer and receiving a certification as a veterinary assistant, she knew another path was calling her name.

After meeting Kaelin and learning about canine behavior, she knew that dog training was the field where she was meant to work and contribute to. Apprenticing and learning from Kaelin and her training methods before joining All Things Pups® has allowed Shannen to successfully fulfill her passion and help dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds across San Diego County become the best dogs they can be!

With over 5 years of experience working in the animal industry and a background in veterinary technology, dog grooming, and dog training, Shannen is a valued member of the All Things Pups family and loves nothing more than sharing all that she’s learned with her clients, and helping them to improve the bond with their furry best friends.
