Sam is a native New Yorker who grew up reading James Herriot, with her dogs and pet rabbits. She is an avid lover of dogs, animals and the great outdoors. In 2016, Sam raised and trained a Canine Companion for Independence puppy, who graduated as a certified K-9 facility dog at the New Castle County Police Dept (DE). She is CPDT-KA certified and has trained and boarded all varieties of pups in NYC.
After turning in her CCI dog, Sam began her career in dog training. She enjoys educating both dog and owner, enabling them to strengthen their bond and bridge the gap of communication differences; creating a wholesome, healthy and loving relationship. Sam's most rewarding aspect of dog training is witnessing the transformation of a dog's mental capacity to learn and apply the newfound knowledge in its everyday life.
In addition to hanging out with cuddly canines, Sam designs and handcrafts custom glass mosaic tile art. She also plays music and has played in several bands, touring the US, Canada and Europe. Sam’s current canine sidekick, a hound/lab mix was rescued from Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue. Having a background in the arts, Sam's ability to read between the lines carries over in her ability to understand and nurture every dog's individuality.
Living in Queens with her rescue dog, Sam services all of Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan!
